December Challenge//Happy New Year's Eve!

Hey guys!

I just wanted to tell you guys a Happy New Year’s Eve! Hope y’all are having a festive day! Today marks the end of another year filled with life lessons. Tomorrow will be the start of a new outlook on life!

Every year has its ups and downs, but use next year to look at the positive in life. Rewrite your own story because there's only one novel where you're the main character. Don't waste this chance to become who you want to be.

That’s it for today! Thanks for reading!

December Challenge//2014 Blog Goals

Hey guys!

2014 is almost to an end! *throws confetti into the air* New Year’s Eve is tomorrow which means that New Year’s Resolutions are coming up! Before I post that up, I wanted to get my blog goals up first.

Remember how I talked about finding a passion for blogging in my blog reflection post? This post is about clarifying what I want to achieve with my blog and how I’m going to do it! So let’s see…

Pictures pictures pictures!
Most of my posts have one to zero pictures. I blame lighting, but it’s mostly due to how I always forget to snap a couple for upcoming blogs. This year I’m going to take pictures before a post so I can prettify them before uploading them onto a post.

Write more fashion/beauty posts
I created this blog to find my inner style diva. I feel the need to add a little more of that adventure into this blog, which is why I’m introducing a few new series once January 1 comes along!

Be able to blog at least 3 times a week
Oh yes, I very much like this blog everyday business, but I think it’s too much for a senior in high school. But hey! When I go to grad night, I’ll definitely show y’all what was going on.

Spruce up the blog
I want to add pages and make a search tool for posts in my blog. I really want to focus on making my blog easier to navigate while still being pretty! I also want to fix that font size difference between blog posts. Seriously, what’s up with that?

Make some friends
No, not “Hey girl let’s hang out in a few minutes because we live in the same place!” kind of friends, but online friends. Sure I’m kind of cool with a few people on twitter, but I’m looking for some blogger friends. Maybe even have some kind of email or letter correspondence? I want to move up into swaps somewhere in the future! I always wanted to try a new country or state’s items! Maybe even some blogger meet ups?! The possibilities are endless!

That’s it! My goals are kind of simple, but for me that’s what I’m going for. I want to be able to have fun blogging while still having a cool looking blog. Or at least a functioning one.

December Challenge//2014 Blog Reflection

Hey guys!

I never intended to fully immerse myself in blogging. I thought it wasn’t for me. Sure, I could do a review every now and then because of Influenster, but creating twitter jumpstarted my desire to blog.

Following bloggers and etsy stores and realizing that they could blog while having a life, made me hope that I could do it too. I had only recently gotten into it around July 2014. I love the chaos of my blog, but I figured that if I was going to take my blog seriously, I’d actually work on it. Spending time researching and reading other blogs helped discover a long buried part of me.

I’ve always loved writing, and blogging just seemed to fit seamlessly into my life. Now I’ve come to love finding ideas to write about and taking pictures. Although I still need to figure out how to schedule picture taking time and how to edit them like I want to edit them, I am happy to say that blogging has become a well loved hobby.

Even if I can get myself some free products and happily review them, I find that that’s not what I really want to do. Yeah yeah, free products are fun. But it’s connecting with other brands and becoming more sociable online and outside that really endeared me to blogging. I love how I have a few people I can consider friends in the blogging world and how diverse everything is. Reading and finding new perspectives have broaden my views on the world.

Because of blogging, I figured out about half of what I want to do in my life. Writing has always been a passion of mine, but I never thought it would amount to anything. There are a lot of other people who can write, and of course there are others who are better than me, but they might not even have the drive or any idea on how to utilize their abilities. There’s so many possibilities to use my writing skills from ads, to books, to newspapers. I could do anything because writing can communicate so much. Not as much as math, but close enough.

Blogging has become a very important aspect of my life. I can’t wait to see where it takes me in 2015! I hope you guys stay with me on my journey. Thanks for reading!

December Challenge//2014 Favorites Part 2

Hey guys!

Here’s part 2 of my 2014 favorites! This post contains food, stationery, and other random items! Just like my Part 1, it does have links to websites, but I’m not getting paid or anything from linking them. This list is longer than the first one because well, I love a lot of random junk. I’m like a magpie sometimes!

It’s fascinating. And challenging. And makes me want to throw it against a wall.

I love chocolate and bonus points for the fact that these are considered healthy for me! Yay! Great for snacking and rewarding yourself when you get stuff done.

One of the only brands of green tea I drink, this is my all time favorite tea. I love the somewhat bitter taste and smell. It’s so good!

I. AM. ADDICTED. These are my all time favorite snack food! I can go through hundreds of these bags if I can get the chance.

Sanrio Hello Kitty Pencil using 0.5mm Lead
My very special and holy grail writing utensil. Yes, I do have an unhealthy relationship with my pencil, but it’s not like that! It help makes my handwriting neat and it’s nice and slim. I guard it with my life after the Sanrio store in my local mall decided that close. Or move. I’m not sure yet.

These sweet pens are amazing! I have a full review here about the awesomeness. They’re just so pretty and sparkly! They make writing more special to me.

The Folder Thing From Target (but here’s a substitute since I can’t find this on the Target website)
It has about 7 or 8 pockets to hold paper from every class and another one to just hold binder paper. It saves the important things in one place and I can have my homework in the same place. It can get filled up pretty quickly, but that helps to make sure everything in there is up to date.

My ZNation Obsession post doesn’t even cover how much I love this show. Comedy and action with a dash of romance. So different from other zombie shows and movies. It’s definitely a must see and with only one season out, catching up right now is a lot better than later.

A three part series that needs its own show on SyFy. All of the subtle jabs ranging from politics, to family, to even bullying, I love it so much. Didn’t hurt that they showed it around my birthday.

Criminal Minds
I just recently gotten into this show this year. I love Spencer Reid and wish that he was mine. Or my neighbor who can help with my Pre-Calculus homework.

This show is basically my life, and just makes me fall into a mess of stupid whenever I see Ziva and Tony. The new season makes me nervous, even though I like Blondie, I love Ziva. Don’t spoil anything because I still need to catch up some episodes.

A Grumpy Cat Christmas Special
The sassiness. The playfulness. This movie is just too hilarious for me. I love how it can be predictable, but yet not at the same time.

How To Train Your Dragon
Watched it for the first time last week and fell in love with Hiccup. I love the interaction between him and his father because it’s so real. I love it.

I love this monthly box subscription! Although my subscription stopped in October, I will definitely be buying a new subscription once I get some more cash in the bank! Here’s a review of one of the boxes!

Supporting indie bands and authors by downloading and leaving tips. I love this site for getting new music! There’s something for everyone on this site. Definitely recommend this site for finding new bands.

Nicki Minaj’s Grand Piano
Her voice is so pure. I didn’t think her voice could work with a ballot, but I was wrong. I was in love by the first note.

This band. Oh goodness. I love them so much and they’re so nice! Spoke to one of them on twitter once. I fangirled too hard.

Also a new band that I found! I love their chill vibes and they’re super friendly!

Masterpiece is just life. Her vocals rock my world. Everything about her is fabulous and wild. Love her so much.

Created an account this summer and I’m addicted. I love connecting with people on twitter. It’s so fun and I’ve gotten noticed by some of my new favorite tv producers and writers. I am just too crazy for my own good.

Who doesn’t love her sarcasm and sassiness? She’s inspiring and you can see how she genuinely loves all her fans. If only she was a lesbian. Or bi. I’d totally go for her.

I think I like this site more than Pandora. It has a really simpler interface and it has all the songs in albums under the artist. It’s a lot smoother than Pandora to navigate.

I like how the app has a reminder when it’s time for me to write. It’s simple and easy to use. I’m definitely going to include it in a future 2015 goals list. ;)

A FREE simple video chatting app where I can call my favorite cousins in Chicago. Love how it’s easy to use, but hate how the connect can get wacky sometimes. Still like it better than FaceTiming since it doesn’t work that well for me.

What better way to follow blogs and catch up on new posts? It’s addicting to go through and discover new blogs.

That’s it for today! Wow, this list is long! I can’t wait to see how this list is going to look when the end of 2015 comes along! Thanks for reading!

December Challenge//2014 Favorites Part 1

Hey guys!
2014 is almost coming to an end! Soon it’ll be 2015 and I’ll be graduating high school! Can you believe it? My little blog that I really didn’t care for has now grown on me and now I’m thinking of keeping forever. Well, until I can’t stand blogging that is. But that’s not any time soon.

Since the end of 2014 is near, here is part 1 of my 2014 favorites! There are links, but I’m not being paid to link anything! There will not be many pictures because look who's cleaning for New Year's! This girl!

So cute! So girly! So easy to style! I love how bows can come in different styles and sizes.

Just like bows, anklets are easy to style and come in such a pretty array of styles to choose from! They’re also really easy to make. Future DIY anyone? ;)

A backpack is definitely an important accessory! I love using it for school and it’s great to use when traveling.

Pinafore Dresses
Although I only wore my Hello Kitty pinafore dress once this year, I really love this type of clothing. I have one in black and another with a pretty floral pattern neither of which I’ve worn yet. I just can’t figure out how exactly I want to pair them. I do have a few ideas that ya’ll might see soon in a future post.

Muscle Tees
Or the shirt that needs a bandeau most of the time. They’re great for those lazy days where you want to look nice, but aren’t willing to put too much effort into it. Long sleeves under these tees make them easily transition from summer to winter. One of my new favorite types of shirts.

Highwaisted Pants/Shorts
The trend has a permanent home in my closet because who doesn’t want to something to cover the tummy during winter?! Sure you can use high waisted pants with crop tops, but winter! Pair them with a nice comfy shirt and your stomach is nice and warm. I especially adore the Jessica Simpson Vintage High Waisted Shorts despite the high price tag.

Oh goodness I don’t know how I ended up obsessed with them. I swore I’d only wear pants for the rest of my life when I was younger and now look at me! Skirts! And shorts! I always thought skirts were too much maintain because you have to wear shorts or a body suit to make sure nothing inappropriate is shown, but now I can’t get enough of them. So easy to match. So easy to love.

Because even if it’s winter, my skirt obsession will not be deterred. Leggings and tights are the solution. Despite the fact the only brand I buy is kind of expensive, I’d still wear them no matter what.

This product has really helped my lashes get stronger and a more natural curve. A small product, but it still has a lot inside of it, I love swiping this on and walking out the door to help my lashes grow during those no makeup days.
My eyelashes don’t look wimpy when I wear this mascara. It helps makes my eyes a little more awake.

Paired with my Hard Candy Mascara, my lashes are looking flirty and lovely. Although my lashes look good with just this product, I love how I can layer it so easily.

This palette is my most used because of the variety of colors and how easy it to put on. The glittery shades are great for winter and the matte shades really compliment my skin. Most days I just swipe on some eyeshadow and call it day, so this palette is really nice for a quick makeup look.

e.l.f. Small Angled Brush (Can’t find the one pictured above, so here’s a similar one)
This brush is compact and easy to carry around. It’s so helpful in creating small strokes when I use gel eyeliner. I love how I can control is so easily.

e.l.f. Eyebrow Kit in Medium
I've gotten to like the zen of doing my eyebrows. This e.l.f. product is light and I can build it up very easily. It makes my eyebrows look natural instead of looking cartoonish.

Yes yes. The elusive 07 lipstick that I’m sure is on most people’s favorite beauty list somewhere. It’s so pretty and I love how it works for most skin types. The scent of it is also a bonus.

My go to everyday cleanser. Even though it is a scrub, it’s not as harsh as I thought it would be so it’s a pretty good everyday cleanser.

I have a review right here about how much I love this product. I wish I had more! It really helped calm down my acne and it’s so easy to apply! Love this product so much!

There’s part 1 of my 2014 Favorites! Part 2 coming tomorrow! Can’t believe 2014 is almost coming to an end! Thanks for reading!

December Challenge//Thanks For The Presents!

Hey guys!
This year I got a few gifts that were mostly centered around food. Yup. I love my food. But that’s not what I’m here to talk about. Or type about? No, I’m here to tell you why of sending out thank you cards for your Christmas gifts can be beneficial. So here we go!

Making a thank you card is simple and fun. Although you could always just buy them, taking the time to actually make a simple card is fun idea to do with family. Especially if a relative gave you an expensive gift. It’s always good to stay on their good side. ;)

Sending thank you notes to people shows that you really do appreciate what they gave you. They’ll see you in an even more positive light and may even bump you up to the “Number 1 Favorite Child” spot.

Realizing that what everyone got you is kind of expensive or thoughtful, can really put things into perspective. Knowing that all those people got you something because they like you for being you (or something like that), can make anyone smile. So sending a thank you card is definitely worth it.

And that’s why sending thank you cards is important. It doesn’t have to be a big production, but something from the heart.

That’s it for today!

*Taken from a song! Can you guess who’s?

December Challenge//Christmas Tag 2014

Hey guys!

I saw the Christmas tag floating around, so I decided to do it! Since it is a Thursday and Christmas. How appropriate right?

1. How will your Christmas tree be decorated this year?

Our family doesn’t get a Christmas tree! Something about how it’s too much work to take care of. Maybe once I get my own place, I’ll put one up.

2. When did you (or when will you) start Christmas shopping?

Christmas shopping is usually throughout the month. Instead of wrapping up the gifts, my dad just buys what we want and gives it to us. So there’s nothing to open on Christsmas unless it’s from a godparent or relative.

3. To Brussel sprout or not to Brussel sprout?

We don’t eat brussel sprouts. It’s mostly traditional Filipino food.

4. What are your favourite Christmas films?

How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The animated one and the live action film. I love the backstory of the Grinch in the live action film.

5. What is your most loved Christmas song?

Last Christmas I gave you my heart~! Should I go on?

6. Which smells defines Christmas for you?

It has to be pumpkin or puto. Pumpkin because I can get pumpkin pie a lot easier around this time of year! While puto is a Filipino dessert that looks like a cupcake. It’s so good!

7. Do you have any annual Christmas traditions?

Nope. My family isn’t into Christmas that much.

8. How are you celebrating Christmas and New Year?

Christmas this year was at home for once. Gotta love those family fights. New Year? Who knows!

9. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?

Christmas Eve! I can’t wait until the morning. Although I do wait until midnight to open gifts on Christmas Eve. Does that count as Christmas morning?

10. Favourite festive food?

Gingerbread! Oh! And pumpkin pie!

11. Favourite Christmas gift?

This year, it has to be the $50 Old Navy gift card from my brother’s godparent. I love shopping!

12. What tops your tree?

We don’t have a tree, so I really can’t answer that.

13. What's the best part about Christmas for you?

Getting the chance to spend time alone. Oh yes, I said it. Everyone’s so busy with prepartions that I don’t have to deal with the age old phrase, “You’re too skinny! Go eat!” Yup. I have that kind of family.

I hope you guys are having an amazing Christmas! Happy holidays!
